The South Asian Mommies of Milton presented KALA Colours of South Asia: Art Exhibition in Milton. Residents got toe experience The Beauty of South Asian Art at the Milton Centre For The Arts from March 27th until April 13

At Milton Town Council on April 15th council reviewed a zoning by-law amendment by the developer of the three story condo complex at the South East corner of Derry & Ontario Street. The developer was requesting both a re-introduction of a three-storey 27-unit stacked townhouse complex beside the 14, 20 and 25 storey buildings currently being constructed as well as a reduction on the number of visitor parking spaces for for the overall development.
An Event Ontario business club is an initiative to bring together Event sponsors and individuals interested in business-related activities. Club members will be offered a membership card and they are welcome to offer discounts to the other fellow members to keep the business going in both directions

Walk in Milton
March 8, 2024 is International Women’s Day, a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. On this day CFUW (Canadian Federation of University Women) Milton organized their annual Women’s Day Walk along Main Street in downtown Milton.
The Women’s Empowerment Alliance is a non-profit organization working towards making a significant impact by providing support and opportunities for Women. On March 3rd at the Milton Sports Centre they held an Entrepreneur Women’s Award Ceremony where they recognized various women of distinction in both Milton and the surrounding areas.
Milton’s annual “Coldest Night of the Year” a family friendly walk in support of Milton Transitional Housing (MTH) occurred on February 24th. The walk is in support of Milton Transitional Housing (mthmilton.ca). Milton Transitional Housing provides safe, subsidized transitional housing to individuals and families in crisis – while providing the support & resources needed to help families improve their current situations and graduate to independent living.
The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic Fraternal Order. The order is dedicated to the principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism and they have 4 degrees of knighthood. It was founded in 1882, with the first 4th degree Canadian ceremony occurring in 1907. With the first degree of charity being the basis of all they do as Knights and as Catholics.

Currently SKT School is being hosted at a temporary location at 675 Kennedy Circle West, but this site is actually the future home of an Elementary school. It is temporarily being used as a high school while the permanent location is under construction at the southeast corner of Louis St. Laurent Avenue and Kennedy Circle. The construction is progressing well and barring any unforeseen circumstances will be ready to open it’s doors by September 2024.
