Pete McMullen was a pioneer in Milton for his work in local baseball and hockey. He was instrumental in founding Milton minor baseball and hockey and held leadership positions in both. He was previously inducted into the Milton Sports Hall of Fame as well as Town Hall’s Walk of Fame.
He passed away in 1966 but left us with a rich legacy of sports organizations and teams. He daughter Diane May was present today for the dedication.
The dedication occurred on June 14th and afterwards the Milton Elite 18U baseball team played the Mississauga Tigers in the first inaugural game on the newly named baseball diamond.

Milton Tim Hortons sets records raising over $96,000 for Milton Hospital. Tim Horton’s in Milton set records this
year raising over $96,000 for Milton District Hospital Foundation in their annual Smile Cookie Campaign. Thank you to the countless volunteers, community groups, Milton Tim Horton employees and Milton residents who purchased a record number of cookies this year!
The Tim Hortons at Louis St Laurent and Thompson raised the second highest amount in all of Halton Region! That’s so significant considering the size and location of our little shop.
