The Canadian Indian Association of Halton Region held a cultural celebration for Indian Independence Day on August 18th at the Milton Lion Memorial Arena. The Canadian Indian Association of Halton Region is a Not-for-Profit Organisation, and it aims to celebrate both India and Canada.
The Compassion Classic Charitable Golf Tournament is an important annual fundraising event organized by
volunteers to support the Townsend Smith Foundation (TSF). As an organization, TSF is working towards
building a residential hospice. The hospice will provide a calm, peaceful, home-like environment where
individuals with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families and loved ones.

Muslim Association of Milton (MAM) held its 14th Annual Community BBQ on July 20, 2024 at Halton Islamic Community Centre (HICC), Located on 4269 Regional Road 25, Oakville, Ontario. It was a day where the scent of grilled delicacies mingled with the sounds of joyous laughter and heartfelt conversations, creating an atmosphere
ofunity and celebration.
BRUNCH FOR A CAUSE for Milton District Hospital Foundation.
On June 23rd the first Brunch for a Cause was held at the Italian Cultural Centre of Milton hosted by the All For One Survivors Foundation in support of Milton District Hospital Foundation.The All For One Survivors Foundation and members of the Milton Leone Family (Rita Leone & Tony Leone)invited a little over 100 people together to raise funds to purchase advanced medical equipment used in breast cancer screenings.Dr. Dalal Aziz a lead Breast Surgeon at Milton Hospital attended to talk about both the advances in breast cancer care as well as the need for new medical equipment. Dr Christine Nicholas also did a presentation on breast reconstruction surgery that is available at Milton Hospital and covered by OHIP Rita Leone shared her personal story of being a breast cancer survivor at Milton Hospital and the care she received from Dr. Aziz and her team.The event was well catered, musically entertained and superbly organized to the enjoyment of all that attended.



The Secret Gardens of Milton Tour is an annual event held by the Milton District Horticultural Society and is their main fundraiser.All proceeds go to growing Milton area gardens by purchasing plants,soil, mulch, and fertilizer. Planting and maintaining gardens are done by dedicated volunteers. The Milton gardens they help beautify so others may enjoy are:
•The Serenity Garden at Milton District Hospital
•Allendale Long Term Care Gardens
•Deborah’s Home Garden
•Sunny Mount Community Gardens
Gardens on the tour included both large and small, urban and rural.The tour also partnered both Milton Gardens with Milton Artists. At the locations you could meet local artists,talk to them and also at some see them in the process of creating new pieces. Milton Canada Day returns again this year on July 1st at Milton Fairgrounds thanks to Halton Agricultural Society and the many sponsors and volunteers that come together to make this possible. According to Halton Regional Police estimates on a Sunny Canada Day over 6 thousand visitors are expected to come from morning until night.
The day starts off with a Salute to Veterans at Milton Victoria Park at 10:30am supported by both the Milton Legion and the Milton Knights of Columbus. Gates then open at the Milton Fairgrounds at 12 noon with the listed attractions.

Milton played host to the Speed Skating Ontario Team Relay Challenge today with over 15 teams from across the province taking part.
The competition took part at the Milton Sports Center with several hundred people either participating or cheering on the skaters from 9am to 4pm with the awards ceremony from 4 to 6 pm.
Congratulations to Nigel Emblin, Jack Codack, Perrin Heung, Cameron Mason from Milton Speed Skating for placing 1st overall in the challenge. This year has been exceptional for Milton Skaters with Nigel Emblin and Perrin Heung taking Silver and Gold medals at the recent Elite Championships held in Oakville.

Get ready for a day filled with excitement at Downtown Milton SummerFest on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event features local vendors, live music, kids’ activities, delicious food, patio seating, and plenty of summertime enjoyment!
Dressed in their ceremonial uniforms, the Milton cadets of RCSCC CHAUDIERE and NLCC ADVENTURE led the Battle of the Atlantic Parade at Milton Victoria Park on Sunday May 5th.
