The 10th Annual All For One Survivors Foundation Golf Tournament took part at Granite Ridge on August 25th. To date, the “All for One Survivors Foundation” has donated over $105,000.00 to assist with cancer patients their
transportation programs to assist getting to and from treatments. They have also continued to make financial contributions to Milton District Hospital Foundation for the purchase of critical medical equipment.
On June 15th at Granite Ridge Golf Club the Milton Autism group held a Charity Golf Tournament with many Milton residents volunteering and taking part.Milton Autism’s vision is to empower individuals with autism. They strive to create an inclusive society by providing support, resources, and services that enable individuals on the spectrum to reach their full potential.Through their efforts, they aim to foster acceptance, understanding, and equal opportunities for all members of the autism community.In addition to the Golf Tournament they also had some great raffle prizes donated by businesses to help raise funds in support of services for autism individuals and their families.“Thank you Milton, I would like to thank all our sponsors, donors,participants, partners, volunteers and organizers.
Together we were able to raise over $30,000 for autism in Milton! These funds will help fund and create recreational programs, support groups for caregivers, private movie screening sand many more initiatives for local families” said organizer Mustafa Sajid.
81 golfers attended granite Ridge for the 11th annual North Halton Knights of Columbus Golf Tournament. Charities were special Olympics and Bob Rumball Association for the deaf. Mayor Krantz attended and welcomed the Golfers and sponsors that donated to two great charities.
Team Garber’s Support Local community charity group held their first annual Charity Golf Tournament in support of the Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK) in Milton. Th e day was an amazing success and they hit their goal of donating $10,000 to the ROCK which is desperately needed to help keep their Crisis Line going as well as other supports they do for Kids in Milton.
In August the Dads of Milton (The DoMs) held their fi rst annual Charity Golf Tournament in support of The Special Friends Network (SFN). The SFN is a social and life skills building group that focuses on supporting our youth and young adults with Neuro-diff erences and disabilities by holding events that foster social relationships, community outreach and inclusion.
Over 80 golfers enjoyed a great day of golf with included lunch and afterwards a great steak dinner at Rad Brothers. The event was a huge success with the support of many local business sponsors and community support. Afterwards at East Side Mario’s there was a special cheque presentation the Special Friends Network of $7185 that was raised.
Dean Wooley was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, at 56. He was reassured that the disease, which causes joint pain could be managed well enough to allow him to continue enjoying participating in sports. He used his birthday in 2018 as a fundraiser called “No Limits” for the Arthritis Society. February 2, 2020 marked the second annual fundraiser.
The Milton Sports Hall of Fame inducted an outstanding new class of builders and athletes to its hallowed temple of athletic high achievers on Thursday, November 14th.
The 3rd Annual tournament is being held on August 29th at Granite Ridge Golf Course in Milton. The local fundraiser is organized by Fred Smith – a local veteran who’s spent years helping other veterans overcome PSTD and drug addiction. Lunch and registration is at 11:30am with the golf tournament portion starting at 1pm. There will be live auctions as well as guest speakers. Teeing Off For a Miracle marked its sixth anniversary on Friday June 14, 2019. The tournament hosted by the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation (TJSF) is in support of the annual Miracle on Main St. This year’s edition was held at Granite Ridge Golf Tournament, and raised $100,000 that will be used in support of charity.

2017 marks the tenth anniversary of Miracle on Main St; an annual toy drive organized by the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation. The campaign kicked off at the annual Teeing off for a Miracle golf tournament held June 16.
