The Milton 3 O’Clock Club got together for their yearly decorating the memorial tree at Victoria Park to remember the 14 women who died at the hands of a gunman at Éclole Polytechnique in Montreal on December 6th in 1989.

The tree is decorated with white lights and ribbons the club. Each of the 14 white ribbons has the name of one of the women who were murdered.

The group has been quietly been doing this in Milton for many years. If you visit Victoria Park this week you may notice the tree and the ribbons with names on them.

As they have been doing this for many years now, the pink ribbons honour founding members of Milton 3 O’Clock Club that have passed away since the founding while the white ones are the women who died on this day in 1989.
