On May 8, the Milton community gathered at the McDonald’s on Santa Maria Boulevard to celebrate McHappy Day, a tradition that’s brought residents together for over three decades. All four Milton McDonald’s locations took part in this year’s 31st annual event, joining a nationwide effort to support families with sick children through Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).
After two long years, Luigi’s Lasagna & Pizzeria is excited to welcome patrons back for in person dining again now that the Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted by the public health department. Drop in with your friends or family and check out the updates that have been made to the dining room. Dining room hours are 11am – 1am daily and free WiFi is available. Previously overnight ordering was only available through UberEats; but now you may order online directly through www.luigislasagna.com for pick up or delivery 24 hours a day.
Over the last year Luigi’s Lasagna & Pizzeria has added many new items to their menu; but most recently have added the Super Party Size Pizza. February Dinner Series – Eddioes as part of the #miltonstrong – Support our local restaurants Dinner Club was a fantastic success tonight. Hats off to Jeffrey Pereira (organizer), Eddie Oliveira (Restaurant Owner), Chef Robert Gordon Jackson and all the great Staff at Eddios!
No One Goes Hungry hosted a Gala Dinner at November 13th at Country Heritage Park and also used the venue to announce their new partnership with Country Heritage Park and their Conestoga Community Kitchen.
The program No One Goes Hungry is super excited to be a part Country Heritage Park in their shared vision of giving back to the community.
The #milltonstrong facebook group has created a new Milton local restaurants Dinner Club to help support the local Milton food industry. The group is setup to get together once a month and try a new restaurant and also serve as a meet and greet for the Milton community.
“My goal was to be able to offer support to local owned restaurants and also give us a chance to taste secret menu items and at the same time give us a chance to socialize with the people we have been interacting with over Facebook!” said group co-founder Jeffrey Pereira.
On October 23rd & 24th Milton held it’s first every Drive-Thru Ribfest to raise money for Touwnsend Smith Foundation. $4 of every rib order went to the Townsend Smith Foundation as well as people leaving donations as the drove in or out of the event.
Milton has a new gourmet pizza option MAS-E-MO Pizza.
MAS.E.MO Pizza is collaborative work between Canadian Pizza Chef, Massimo Capra, and Canada’s Best Lebanese Restaurant in town, Paramount Fine Foods.
MAS is an abbreviation for Massimo, and MO is an abbreviation for Mohamad Fakih, the founder of Paramount Fine Foods.
Milton has been awarded the opportunity to host North America’s largest mac and cheese festival arriving June 8-10, 2018 at the Milton Fairgrounds.
