The #milltonstrong facebook group has created a new Milton local restaurants Dinner Club to help support the local Milton food industry. The group is setup to get together once a month and try a new restaurant and also serve as a meet and greet for the Milton community.
“My goal was to be able to offer support to local owned restaurants and also give us a chance to taste secret menu items and at the same time give us a chance to socialize with the people we have been interacting with over Facebook!” said group co-founder Jeffrey Pereira.
When talking about how Milton’s East Side Mario’s was selected as the first restaurant, Jeffrey had this to say – “They have done so much for the community over the past year and I thought we could support them. Just recently on one day they fed any veterans that came in for free”
The dinner series is offering pre fixe menus custom made for #miltonstrong members with menu items you wouldn’t normally see available.
East Side Mario’s is planning to continue with their tradition of giving back to the community by also hosting a Food4Kids Christmas Party on December 12th from 11am to 9pm with a portion of all proceeds going to Food4Kids. Special guests will include Rockin Rob Hewlett and local magician Tyler Fergus. Milton’s East Side Mario’s is located at 860 Main Street East.
