In Milton, devotees from GTA celebrated Ganesh Visarjan 2023 with great fervor. On the tenth day of Ganesh Festival, they bid adieu to Lord Ganesha, the revered God of wisdom and remover of obstacles. Organized by Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS) and Milton Marathi Group (MMG), the event took place at Milton Sports Centre with the theme of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” and “Save the Earth”.Families brought Ganesha Idols, parading them in a decorated carriage accompanied by lively drumbeats of Zunzar Dhol Tasha Pathak.

After Idris’s 1st birthday, Mustafa and his wife started noticing changes in their son’s behavior’s. Milton’s 13th annual Charity Poker Run took place on August 13th. e Charity Poker Run attracts Motorcycle enthusiasts from all over Ontario with the run starting at Halton Auto Service & Transmission where riders register and socialize over coffee and Timbits before setting off the scenic 200 km ride ends at the Halton Sportsmen’s Club where participants enjoy a steak dinner and live entertainment.

Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) Milton chapter and the Islamic Community Centre of Milton (ICCM) held their annual Milton Community Festival on August 6th at 8069 Esquesing Line in Milton. Various food items were oered free of charge for adults, like BBQ, burgers, BBQ chicken, and drinks. Whereas kids enjoyed hotdog sandwiches, cotton candy, popcorn, drinks, juices, and multiple inatable rides in the nice weather. Besides that, there were different stalls setup for attendees to purchase items of their interest, like clothes, jewelry, arts and crafts, paintings, etc.

The weather on Saturday, July 15, held up just fine as the Association of Nigerian Community in Milton (ANCiM) celebrated their FREE 4th Annual Picnic. In his goodwill message to the Nigerian Community.

the Premier of Ontario (Doug Ford) weighed in on the immense contributions of Canadian multicultural history and the Nigerian Community in Milton in saying that: “…multicultural organizations such as yours will play a vital role in building strong contributions that exemplify the true Ontario spirit”.

Earlier this year, 14 year old Miltonian, Preston Mutanga was invited to the opening of ‘Spider-Man: Across the SpiderVerse’ in California. On Twitter under the name: LegoMe_TheOG @FG_Artist, Preston had posted his video where he “recreated the entire ‘SpiderMan: Across the Spider-Verse’ Trailer in LEGO!”
Chris Miller and Phil Lord, the producers of the movie, were fascinated by the video and his talent. They had also directed the LEGO movie in 2014. Because of his ability, Preston was asked to animate a scene in the new Spider-Man movie.

The Islamic Circle of North America Canada (ICNA-C) Milton Chapter organized an interfaith dinner for local community and faith leaders on Friday May 12 at Paramount Fine Foods. The dinner provided an opportunity to faith and community leaders to come together and build bonds of friendship and understanding.

MP Adam van Koeverden, Mayor Gordon Krantz, AMO President Colin Best, other regional and town councillors attended the event. Representatives of different churches also participated including Grace Anglican Church, Centre of Life Church, St George and St Abanoub Coptic Church, Saturate Church, The House of David, and Church Planting Ministries Inc.
