Holds Curbside Victorian Tea Fundraiser
Denise and Peter Mulé created the not-for-profit foundation known as Pack a Bag whose mission is to help those in need at Christmas. For the last seven years they have donated a backpack to the men, women, and children living in Milton, Acton, Georgetown, Burlington, and Oakville. Each backpack contains pajamas, an age-appropriate toy, hand knit scarfs and slippers, waterproof gloves or mitts, books, socks, a water bottle, a toque, a toothbrush and toothpaste, toiletries, etc.
This past Christmas of 2020, approximately 2,150 back packs were distributed to the following organizations: Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Halton, Salvation Army (Milton Branch), St. Vincent de Paul, Grace Anglican Church, Food4Kids Halton (includes families in Milton, Acton, Georgetown, Oakville, and Burlington), Milton Transitional Housing, Food for Life, Milton Community Living, Community Youth Program, Shiafra Homes, Living Hope for Care and Counseling, Bob Rumball Canadian Centre of Excellence for the Deaf – Milton, plus individuals in the community.
