Pack a Bag for a Friend with the help of volunteers and drivers from the community delivered backpacks and Christmas hampers on Saturday December 18th. The weather was challenging but our drivers were able to overcome the snowy roads.
Pack a Bag for a Friend’s mission is to help those in need at Christmas. Each back packs contains pajamas, an age appropriate toy, hats, mitts, socks, books, toiletries, etc. Our drivers delivered 410 Christmas hampers and backpacks to the Food4Kids children and families in Milton, Acton, Georgetown, Oakville, and Burlington, plus additional families assisted by local organizations. Each Christmas hamper contained a turkey or halal chickens, potatoes, vegetables, dessert, and milk, and gave the families an opportunity to prepare a Christmas dinner.
