The red carpet was rolled out for Milton’s movie lovers January 25-27 for Milton’s sixth annual film festival. January 25, 2019 marked one of two galas with Colette, a movie starring Keira Knightley and Dominic West.
Milton, ON – The 10th annual Miracle on Main toy drive charity event was an overwhelming record-breaking
success, raising over a whopping $600,000 made up from donations and sponsorship, led by presenting sponsors
Accenture and Deloitte.
And just like that, another year has passed and it’s time to usher in a new year, and a new series of films at the Milton Film Festival. This year’s Festival will take place from January 25-27, 2019, and all films will screen at the First Ontario Arts Center Milton. This year’s line up has been highly lauded and awarded by both viewers and critics alike.
More than 60 talented Choristers filed onto the stage at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton on the evening of December 1, 2018. The group’s annual concert this year was entitled “50 Years of Song,” and celebrated 50 years of the choir’s ongoing presence within our community. Chorister Helen Dietz says, “This anniversary represents the power of music to bind community members together in joy and struggle to create the beautiful artistic creation that is choral music.”
Milton was bedazzeled with a holiday specatuclar performance of The Nutcracker performed by Milton’s The Dance Class. This Christmas favourite was held at the Mattamy Theatre on Saturday November 24 and Sunday November 25th inside the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton.
On November 3rd the students at Bishop Reding Catholic Secondary School in Milton held their third annual STEM Conference. Te program concentrating on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) is organized by the students in grades 6 to 8 and gives an exploration and interactive learning experience to participants.
The Town of Milton will be hosting a New Year’s Day Levee on Tuesday January 1st from 1 to 3 pm at Milton Town Hall (150 Mary Street). Residents are warmly invited to come and exchange New Year’s wishes with Mayor Gord Krantz and councillors.

Venetian masks lent an air of mystery to the Granite Ridge Golf Club November 3, 2018. The Italian Canadian Club of Milton (ICCM) hosted its sixth annual Venetian gala benefitting the Milton District Hospital Foundation (MDHF).
