St. Kateri Tekakwitha Secondary School is taking part in Halton Food 4 Thought’s “Feburary ” breakfast events. Multiple days in the month of Feburary they are providing a free nutritous breakfast to St. Kateri students with the help of both student and staff volunteers. Milton District Hospital Foundation (MDHF) has welcomed Katie McMillan as its new Executive Director. Katie brings a rich tapestry of experience rooted in her belief that philanthropy plays a vital role in exceptional and compassionate care. e Board of Directors of MDHF have expressed their utmost confidence in Katie’s leadership, which rejects a dedication to fostering connections and addressing the unique needs of our community. On Monday, January 22 Member of Parliament Adam van Koeverden, alongside Mayor Gordon Krantz formally announced Milton is receiving $22.4 million from the Federal government Housing Accelerator Fund which is a crucial step in addressing Milton’s growing housing needs. Over the next 3 years, this funding will support the development of 800+ affordable homes, with 4600+ affordable homes planned over the next decade.
It’s all about AFFORDABILITY. Building homes people can afford, where they want to live. Close to work, education and transit – communities that are intentional, inclusive and sustainable.

In early 2011 the consensus in Milton was the location was cursed. A string of restaurants and bars at the north-west corner of Derry & Ontario Street had opened and closed, sometimes remaining in business only a scant few months. Then along came the Radojcic family. “The key is to give people a reason not to leave Milton” said Roger Radojcic Roger.

The Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation (TJSF), in partnership with Halton Regional Police and The Downtown Milton BIA with presenting sponsor Wallace Chevrolet held the 15th annual “Miracle on Main Street” in downtown Milton December 9th. Miracle on Main Street is an engaging and inclusive holiday festival, and charity toy drive in support of underprivileged children and families living throughout Halton.
