Author Diksha Pal Narayan has released her second children’s book with a continued focus on simplifying Hindu customs and popular festivals for young children. A follow up to “Ved and Friends Celebrate Dussehra and Diwali,” Pal Narayan’s second book is entitled “Ved’s Little Book on Devotion.” The book came together quickly – Pal Narayan began writing it in early spring of 2018.
The Milton Players 2018/2019 Season Kick-Off event on September 14th was (not surprisingly) full of vibrant personalities. Guests included a collection of theatre buffs including actors, directors, producers and volunteers.
Events’ Ontario Softball Cricket League’s (EOSCL) season is over. The organization completed its third season September 22 with a pair of matches at Sherwood Community Park.

In a continued effort to connect artists of all genres and levels of experience with the greater Milton community, Arts Milton will host the 6th Annual Milton Culture Days this fall on September 28-30, 2018.
The Townsend-Smith Foundation held its first annual Hike for Hospice May 26 at Milton Community Park. The event kicked off at 9:30 a.m. with registration, face painting, a photo booth, and a clown.
It started six years ago as a conversation between Milton Orthotics, and Wellness Centre Owner Angelo Posteraro and Rotary Club member Rod McLachlan. The two men wanted to help the community, and get kids active. “It supported physical activity, and supported a charity.”
The last weekend in June kicked off Events Ontario Softball Cricket League (EOSCL). Saturday June 23 was an event at Paramount Restaurant to unveil the team jerseys and captains. The league expanded from eight to 17 teams this season including teams representing town councillors.
April 28 marked the end of Milton Youth Recreation Centre (MYRec)’s basketball season at MyFest 2018. Awards were given out kicking off an afternoon of family fun and celebration at the Milton Sports Centre.
