The Milton District Hospital Foundation (MDHF) started out with a goal of raising $30 million towards the hospital expansion. They held their annual Gift of Life Gala May 27, 2017 at Rattlesnake Point Golf Club. Emcee Peter Conteducca compared the fundraising drive to a race. “We’re on the final lap,” he described. The foundation has raised $29 million so far.

The spirits were high during the Community Foundation of Halton North’s grant recipient celebration on May 25, 2017. In attendance were six lucky organizations who are receiving funding from CFHN including ADAPT Halton, the Bob Rumball Association for the Deaf, the Darling Home for Kids, the FirstOntario Art Centre Milton, Milton Transitional Housing, and the United Way of Halton & Hamilton.

On May 27th kick off your celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary with the Milton Choristers and their presentation of Canada Sings Eh?! Part Deux, bringing to a close their 48th season.

Last year at this time the choir performed its first all-Canadian repertoire Canada Sings ‘Eh?! to a very enthusiastic response from the audience.  At the fondly named “Brag and Drag” end-of-season wrap up meeting, a choir member put it to the others saying “I think we’ve only just touched the tip of the iceberg on Canadian music.
