Girls Inc. is a local charity dedicated to promoting positivity among young girls from 5-18 years of age. On Thursday October 25, Matador Eyeworks held a “Girls Inc. Social, where attendees had a chance to meet Executive Director Shelley Nicholls.
Walter Gretzky celebrated his 80th birthday October 8. Gretzky’s family and friends gathered at the Grand Chalet in Milton October 5 to celebrate with a dinner.

October 22 was Election Day. Milton voters cast their ballots for the offices of: Mayor, Halton Regional Chair, Ward Councillors, and Regional & Local Councillors. Approximately 23,000 ballots were cast.
The parking lot in front of Rad Brothers was rocking throughout the afternoon and evening on September 8, 2018 for the second annual Radfest live music festival. The owners of the popular local sports bar, and live music venue launched the party in 2017.

Milton Fall Fair has been marking the passage of seasons for the last 165 years. This year’s edition was held September 21-23 2018. It included all fair favourites; a smash-up derby, petty zoo, midway, and displays, and competitions under the grandstand.
Events’ Ontario Softball Cricket League’s (EOSCL) season is over. The organization completed its third season September 22 with a pair of matches at Sherwood Community Park.
Milton’s Coptic Christian community welcomed Milton families July 28 for its fifth annual St Abanoub Festival. The event held on the last Saturday of July marks the life, and sacrifice of a 12- year old Coptic Christian martyr in the fourth century.
Patriotism and the colours of the Indian flag were visible at festivities to honour the nation’s 72nd Independence Day. Members of Milton’s Indian community gathered at the Lion’s Club for a program of cultural dances, and awards for children.
