Students, and teachers at Milton District High School offered Miltonians a taste of their community April 6, 2017. Local Milton restaurants were invited to participate in the eighth annual Taste of Milton fundraiser for the school’s programs.

The Milton United Way ended its 2016 by surpassing its goal of $1 million. The total unveiled at a “touchdown” celebration March 24 broke through the $1 million mark at: $1,002,312.

What do you do when the Mayor of your town is the longest-serving in the country? You hold a Comedy Roast. That’s exactly what Milton Transitional Housing (MTH) did Saturday April 1, 2017. Roasters included councillors, and community leaders. It was emceed by MTH Executive Director Donna Danielli, and raised $2500.

A buzz of voices, and array of smells greeted visitors to the Muslim Womenpreneurs show. The third annual event was held at Milton’s Teatro Conference Centre March 8, and 9. It was a festive mood as people made their way through vendor tables in a grand ballroom.
Vendors displayed everything from cosmetics, and traditional dresses to teas, and a wide variety of services.
