In partnership with the Town of Milton, Milton Good Neighbours Day brings together our community with the common goal of making Milton a better place. Every year, hundreds of volunteers help to clean up parks, town sites, and areas across our town. Be a good neighbour and join us in making Milton a better place to call home.
Milton Youth Theatre Productions (M.Y.T.P.) took to the stage with Rock of Ages Youth Edition at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton. After five months of rehearsals these young rock wannabes (ages 5-18) felt the noise with five performances taking their audiences back to a wilder time, mid to late eighties. M.Y.T.P. is a triple threat teaching company that rehearses once a week, acting, singing, and dancing for their Main Stage productions. From the Sunset Strip, Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, to Bikini Bottom, M.Y.T.P. had a fun filled 22nd season.
The local Milton Alumni of NED University of Engineering & Technology (Pakistan) held an Eid Milan party on May 2nd at Chef Kauser Autaq Banquet Hall. The reunion saw NEDians mingling and welcoming guests from Milton
and the surrounding area. All swept up in the festive spirit of Eid, the attendees donned their colorful traditional attire, thereby accentuating the culture-rich tapestry.
Between April 28 to May 4th all the proceeds of Smile Cookies at Milton’s Tim Horton’s went to our local Milton Hospital. Milton residents throughout the town volunteered at participating Tim Horton’s to help decorate the cookies.
Since 2020, the Milton Sea Cadets from RCSCC CHAUDIERE, accompanied by the Navy League Cadets from NLCC ADVENTURE, hosted a remembrance ceremony for the longest continuous military campaign in World War II. This year marks the 80th anniversary of this battle where many Canadians fought bravely for their country. During this campaign, Canada’s Navy grew from a tiny base of ships to become the third largest Navy in the world.

Ward 1 residents deserve fair representation on Milton Council On May 15th a judicial recount by Justice Leonard Ricchetti of the Superior Court of Ontario confirmed Kristina Tesser Derksen as the MP for Milton East Halton Hills South. At that moment her seat on Milton Town Council became vacant. Before the ink was dry on Tesser Derksen’s win, lobbying started by people looking to be appointed to Milton Council as her replacement.
The Milton Sikh Community gathered on April 4th for the Mayor’s Proclamation at Milton Town Hall declaring April Sikh Heritage Month. All levels of government were present (Federal MP Adam van Koeverden, Provincial MPP Zeeshan Hamid, Regional Sameera Ali and local Adil Khalqi) along with Mayor Krantz.
Milton Musim Moms (MMM) held their Annual Interfaith Community Dinner on March 18th at the Milton Connect Centre. Their motto of “Bringing solidarity, unity and inclusiveness to the community” was fully apparent with a night bringing people from all faiths together listening to inspirational speakers from diverse backgrounds.
In March 1998, a group of likeminded and committed parents got together to form Special Olympics Milton. Since then they have been leading, guiding and developing the Milton Special Olympics Milton community in sports and competition.
