Milton was filled with the sounds of celebration at the annual Lunar New Year Festival, held at Milton Mall on February 24th.
On Sunday January 21st Halton Jugarati Seniors Samage held their 1st meeting of the year at Grace Anglican Church in Milton. On this day they celebrated India’s 69th Republic Day.
The Milton Players’ Theatre Group have made Noises Off the second play of their 2017- 18 Season. The comedy written by Michael Frayn is loosely based on the writer’s experiences watching a play from backstage, and all that goes on behind the scenes. “Noises Off ” is a term used to refer to noises from off-stage.

After a long and distinguished 27 year career with the Milton Public Library, 22 years as Chief Librarian, Leslie Fitch announced her intention to retire effective June 30, 2018.
The warm summer months are behind us, but you need not despair. There remains plenty of entertainment for Miltonians in the winter months! Most notably, the Milton Film Festival, which takes place in January each year. The 2018 Festival spans January 26-28 at the First Ontario Arts Centre Milton.
The spirit of generosity was on display as the Ontario New Democratic Party (NDP) Milton riding held its second annual toy drive led by the NDP youth. The event was held at the Milton Sports Centre December 16, 2017. The fundraiser was in support of the Halton Women’s Place.
Milton’s Muslim community gathered at the Islamic Community Centre- Milton (ICCM) for a fundraiser to help the Rohingya people Sunday December 17. The event was organized by the Muslim Children of North America (MCNA).
On January 20th, a launch party will be held at the Milton Sports Centre from 1 to 3pm for the Coldest Night of the Year. There will be games, crafts, giveaways and much more.
The 9th annual Miracle on Main was an overwhelming record-breaking success, raising over $300,000 made up from donations and sponsorships.
