Walter Gretzky celebrated his 80th birthday October 8. Gretzky’s family and friends gathered at the Grand Chalet in Milton October 5 to celebrate with a dinner.
October 22 was Election Day. Milton voters cast their ballots for the offices of: Mayor, Halton Regional Chair, Ward Councillors, and Regional & Local Councillors. Approximately 23,000 ballots were cast.
Milton once more heard the moans of zombies and chills of fright as it witnessed the 8th annual Milton Haunted House held inside Milton Mall.
Morning commuters at the Milton GO station were surprisingly bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as they accepted free coffee and tea from Milton Transit representatives and current Town Councillors.
October 23, 2018 – The annual Tiny Tots Trick or Treat event in Downtown Milton is happening this Saturday, October 27. Kids and their parents are invited to wear their costumes and gather treats at participating businesses.
Milton’s 11th annual Charity Poker Run took place on Sunday August 19th. The Charity Poker Run attracts Motorcycle enthusiasts from all over Ontario with the run starting at Halton Auto Service & Transmission where riders draw their first Poker card and receive a T-shirt.
Today is a gift, leave nothing UNDONE. That is the philosophy of this family who owns a Food Truck in downtown Milton, hence the name UNDONE.
Hazoor Elahi came to Canada in the 1960’s from Pakistan. He became a father to three sons who are now all doctors in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). “I think when you are blessed, you have an obligation to give back,” Hazoor said. Each son has donated $25,000 to the Muslim Legacy Initiative.
On a cool evening in June, Milton’s Muslim community invited Miltonians to breakfast together during the month of Ramadan. The delicious Iftar meal was enjoyed at sunset according to tradition, and held on June 4 at Paramount Fine Foods Milton.
