Milton ON – It all started with an idea of service to our youth and for 35 years, the Milton Navy League has been the sponsor of the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps (RCSCC) CHAUDIERE, which runs a cadet program that is free of cost to youth ages 12-19!
To celebrate this momentous occasion, the Milton Navy League and RCSCC CHAUDIERE commissioned a limited number of celebration Challenge Coins to recognize cadets and community leaders who have provided steadfast support to the cadets. Challenge Coins are used by militaries all over the world to recognize worthy individuals and are considered a valuable collector’s item,
The Milton Navy League awarded Challenge Coins to every Sea Cadet in Milton and to community leaders, such as Councillors Mike Cluett, Colin Best, Rick di Lorenzo and Sameera Ali. LCol (Ret’d) Bob Elliott from the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 136 was also presented with a coin for his steadfast support of the Milton Navy League Cadet program. Challenge Coins were also presented to MPP, Minister Parm Gill and MP Adam van Koeverden. The Milton Navy League serves Sea Cadets (ages 12-19) and recently launched a program for younger youth ages 9-12. To find out more, please visit www.miltonnavyleague.com
