Milton – The Sea Cadet program in Milton provides youth with a cost-effective youth program that provide opportunities for cadets to learn valuable life skills. The program runs along naval lines and is co-sponsored by the Canadian Armed Forces and the Navy League of Canada (a civilian volunteer-led group).
While learning valuable skills, such as seamanship, navigation, marksmanship and drill, the cadets also learn business organization, teamwork and leadership skills, and once they achieve a senior rank, they lead other cadets in exercises and teach classes, all under the supervision and guidance of Canadian Armed Forces officers.
