On February 17th, Troy Newton one of Milton’s long time business owners and community supporter lost his wife Angie Ritchie to her battle with cancer.

Angie was a wonderful human being and a friend to both all humans and all animals. She was kind, caring, soft hearted and nothing made her light up more than helping others whether it be human or animal.

Crystal Woodworth, who lived next door to Angie & Troy knew her well. She started Paws for Angie earlier this month as a fundraiser to assist animals in need with costs related to emergency surgeries, dental work, food and other critical needs.

“It is such a testament to the wonderful person that Angie was. We are so excited to be able to help as many local animals as possible and this week I am starting the process of vetting local area rescues and causes in hopes that we can provide some assistance where needed most.” said Ms. Woodworth. “Angie always made sure to lend a hand when needed and she also lent her heart to so many causes.”
