On Friday afternoon, September 10, after another sellout event of 288 golfers at Granite Ridge Golf Club, the 21st Mayor’s Golf Tournament for United Way in Milton announced a net donation to the upcoming 2021 United Way campaign of $200,000, an increase of almost $8000 over the previous best year. With no closing banquet this year, the initial total was announced as $196,318 before the golfers teed off. Additional funds were added during the event. Then double Gold sponsor Mattamy Homes generously offered to ‘top up’ the total to an even $200,000. The event benefits from tremendous support from dozens of corporations doing business in the Town of Milton, with record numbers of major sponsors including 24 Gold and 30 Silver corporate sponsors.

Since its inception, the Mayor’s Golf Tournament for United Way in Milton has now contributed more than $3 million to local annual United Way campaigns. Funds raised are directed to United Way approved social service agency programs designed to help Milton residents and families.
