ISKCON Milton, the local branch of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, held its highly anticipated 4th annual Rathayatra, Festival of India on June 24th. The event, dedicated to Lord Jagannatha, Lord Baldeva, and Devi Subhadra, attracted a remarkable turnout of more than 1200 people. The festival took place at the Milton Sports Community Park, with a vibrant procession extending all the way to Derry Road.
The festivities commenced with a warm welcome extended to the esteemed guests of honor, including MP Adam van Koeverden, MPP Parm Gill, and Town Councillor Kristina Tesser Derksen, who graciously represented the Mayor of Milton. The event also had the privilege of being attended by Constable Erin from Halton Police and the respected figure of Rick Di Lorenzo.
