Have you ever started your day without breakfast?
Some choose to dash out to work with only a slice of toast or some cereal and a black coffee to keep them going for a few hours. Some of us, because of a chosen diet, consume nothing. Some of us, not from choice but from life’s challenges, have little or nothing to eat to start their day. Many children in our town are sent to school without any breakfast to help them to develop healthy bodies and brains. They are sent to school to begin their days , hungry. They have no choice.
Milton Makos swim team of the Milton Special Olympics took part in the 2025 Swim Meet this afternoon. Special Olympics Swim Teams from Halton, Peel and Hamilton all took part in it at the Milton Sports Center today.
On Saturday January 11 over 100 Skaters from 17 clubs in Ontario converged in Milton for the Ontario Provincial Circuit West #3 Meet and tournament. Milton had 7 racers compete that deserve recognition for their performance and hard work.

Milton Allendale is a well known Long Term Care facility in Milton where since 2020 a dedicated group of volunteers have been has “Lighting Up Allendale” each Christmas. Bringing Christmas cheer to many elderly Milton residents.
Milton has two new published authors, Amyrah Khanna and Zayna Yazdan two young students at P.L Robertson Elementary School. They co-wrote “The Arctic Fox Crystal” with great support from their teacher Ms. Tanesha Forbes Bunsie as well as their parents. Sherwood Community Centre in Milton hosted the official book launch last month which was well attened.
The Milton Sports Hall of Fame is committed to recognizing and honouring the accomplishments and contributions of Milton’s sporting community. On November 21, over 200 community members gathered at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton to witness the unveiling of five new Wall of Fame panels in recognition of this year’s newest inductees.

We have a new sports athlete who will be representing Canada on the world stage in October. On August 27th Matthew Lippa won the Canadian Bocce title and will be representing us in the World Seniors Bocce Men’s Championship in Turkey from October 17-20th 2024.
