Over the last 5 years I’ve fought with everything I’ve got for Milton, and we should all be proud of the results – because it’s always a team effort. Together, we’ve worked hard, achieved some remarkable things and our whole community has benefitted.
We’ve seen historic Federal Government investments in local infrastructure and $44M in funding for Milton and Burlington to build more homes that people can afford, faster. I’ve pushed for better public transit, and the Government of Canada has committed to over $30M in support for Milton & Burlington Transit, and we’ve partnered locally with MTB to develop the first ever diesel to electric buses in Canada to reduce pollution.
I’ve successfully secured over a million dollars for local seniors serving groups like Ontario Seniors Forum, ICCM, Milton Public Library, Canadian Egyptian Heritage Association, Masjid Khadijah Community Centre, Maternal Minds and many others. To fight food insecurity, I’ve connected Food for Life, the Salvation Army, other local foodbanks and Country Heritage Park to funding programs and supported the development of Feed Halton.
Together, we’ve created thousands of local jobs for youth with the Canada Summer Jobs program and $6M worth of new apprenticeship positions. I supported innovative manufacturing and production with grants to companies like Cyclone Manufacturing and CWB Welding. The Canadian Dental Care Plan has helped over 7000 Miltonians receive
the oral healthcare they need, we’ve reduced childcare fees by over half and increased the number of spaces available for new families.
Our Halton Regional Police Service continues to have my full support as we work together to ensure Halton region remains the safest community in Canada, and I’ve been proud to find funding for our local Royal Canadian Legion.
Today, Canada is facing threats and economic attacks from our neighbours to the south. I want my neighbours
to know that Canada will never, ever be the 51st state. I love Canada more than anything, and I will keep fighting for Milton, Burlington and Canada every single day. To get in touch with Adam’s Milton Office you can call at 905-693-0166 or email at adam.vankoeverden@parl.gc.ca
