I magine a place in Milton and Halton Hills where those who are dying receive compassionate end of life care. Townsend Smith Foundation’s vision is a community where every individual has access to a dignified and caring end of life journey through hospice palliative care.
Recently they hosted two community meetings where they unveiled and discussed architectural plans for the future planned state-of-the art hospice residence for North Halton. This is in addition to the Candlelight Vigil held to honour those who have gone before us and through shared stories help demonstrate the need for residential hospice palliative care in North Halton.
The future site of the North Halton hospice will be at 8958 Trafalgar Road and if the remaining $25 million is raised in time construction could start as early as 2025 with completion in 2026.
