Run for Milton is a charity run/walk even that embraces the Milton community and provides financial support to Milton District Hospital Foundation. It’s organized by the Milton Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association. Their goal is to help the local community and be there for the people who are in need. MP Adam van Koeverden led the race attendees while carrying the Canadian Flag to the start of the race, it’s been an annual tradition of his participating in the race for many years now.

The Ahmadiyya Milton Muslim Jama’at is also in progress to build their future mosque located at 1456 Bronte St S beside Elsie McGill Secondary school. Their new mosque will be more than just a place of prayer, “We see this as also a place where we can bring people together” said Maqbool Sheikh with the Ahmadiyya organization. The mosque recently received Milton Town Council approval in March of this year.

The Milton Ahmadiyya Mulsim Jama’at has been giving back to local Milton charities and organizations for many years now, with the recent Run for Milton just being another successful event that has brought together Miltonians of different backgrounds & faiths with a common goal of making Milton a better community to live, work and raise a
family in.
