On October 6th, vote for Rick Di Lorenzo as your Ward 1 Milton Town Councillor. Together let’s make Milton the best it can be.

Take Back Control

We need to restore control of how and when growth and development occurs. We have lost control of our own future. We need a Town Council that speaks up for residents first, not developers or the Fortune 500. Not every single development application needs to be approved. Don’t vote for a candidate who will only be there for developers and not residents.

Road Safety

I was the councillor that initiated Milton’s Traffic Calming Policy. This allowed us to install measures such as speed humps to reduce speeding. We need to do more to promote safe and livable streets :

• Red light and speed cameras in residential community safety zones
• Speed display boards for driver education
• Advocate for increased speed enforcement by our schools and parks

Improved pick-up and drop-ofi site plans for future school:

I’ve successfully implemented many changes in Milton to increase road safety, and as a father of two who walk or bike, road safety is always top of mind. I am the only candidate who has successfully implemented changes to increase safety on our roads.

Employment and Economic Growth

Small businesses make up over 60 percent of businesses in Milton and are a key driver to economic prosperity and job growth. Small businesses in Milton are often neglected, especially when trying to navigate through permits and
regulations. I will continue to be an advocate for Milton small businesses and be active in both their creation and growth.

Rural Milton Matters

From addressing traffic concerns on rural roads and protecting our agricultural lands, to opposing the Campbellville quarry and ensuring fair access to essential services like broadband, transit, and emergency response – I am committed to keeping our rural communities thriving. Together, we can preserve Milton’s heritage while building a strong, sustainable future.

Why Is It Important to Vote?

Byelections have extremely low voter turnout, which can mean a candidate is elected who doesn’t speak for all
residents. When you have absentee councillors who are only there during elections and don’t treat this as a full-time commitment, the town suffers. Milton needs full-time councillors who are dedicated to the people. Vote for someone you trust who will be there every day, not just during elections – someone who will continue to initiate change for the better.
