On August 14th in Miltonthere was a local celebration to recognize Pakistan’s Independence Day. Milton has a very vibrant, active and community oriented population of Pakistani Canadians that contribute to the well being of our town in an inclusive and open way.
This year some of the more larger planned Milton celebrations had to be cancelled but Local community organizer Kanwal Waseem stepped in and in a short timeline created a small but lively celebration. It was open to all Milton residents and included food, refreshments as well as a Pakistan Birthday Cake.
