April 28 marked the end of Milton Youth Recreation Centre (MYRec)’s basketball season at MyFest 2018. Awards were given out kicking off an afternoon of family fun and celebration at the Milton Sports Centre.
Rain, and cold wind failed to dampen the community spirit as runners gathered at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre (MNCC) on May 12th. It was the third annual Run for Milton organized by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at – Milton Chapter to raise money for the Milton District Hospital Foundation (MDHF).
In the spring of 2015, when the doors opened to the Mattamy National Cycling Center (also known as the Velodrome), a new era for competitive cycling in Milton and surrounding areas was born.
“Game On is larger than us. It lives and breathes for the passion of outdoor ball hockey while supporting kids’ mental health,” says Angelo Posteraro, the Founder and Director of the Milton Orthotic & Wellness Centre Foundation (MOWC), as he looks forward to the 6th Annual GAME ON! Ball Hockey Tournament next month.
Established in 2016, the Run for Milton is an annual event that raises funds to support Milton District Hospital Foundation for much needed healthcare essentials.
With technology use and the popularity of gamification at an all-time high, it’s no surprise that the Milton Public Library, alongside other community partners, are leading the way when it comes to developing the very first public library gaming app of its kind with Quest Milton launching on February 16th, 2018.
Outside January 6, 2018 was one of the coldest winter days so far this year. Inside the gym at the E.C. Drury School for the Deaf Sports Complex people turned their minds to cricket, and preparing for the upcoming season.
The Milton Minor Ball Hockey League played a heated game on Friday June 09th, 2017 at the Milton Sport’s Centre. Team Peewee West put on a difficult fight for their opponents Peewee Harrison.
