Back in the Spring, the hottest topic was the real estate market and how much prices were going up. Once again real estate is a hot topic but this time for the opposite reason – how far is the market going to go down? We all knew it was coming and the writing was on the wall when prices were going up by 5-10% a month in January, February and March.

On Saturday July 22, the Muslim Association of Milton (MAM) held its 9th annual BBQ and fundraising event at the grounds of the Croatian Club on Thompson Road. The first BBQ event started out 9 years ago as a way for the Muslim community to connect with the general Milton community.

The Milton Toastmasters Club held their 35th Anniversary and Open House on May 30th with nearly 60 people in attendance and it was a huge success. Having been a Milton Toastmaster member myself for eight years and on the executive as Vice President of membership in the past I can tell you what an amazing club this is. I not only learned a lot in the way of public speaking and improved on my listening skills but I made some amazing friends that I still have to this day.

The Milton Chamber of Commerce annual Golf Tournament, presented by Cogeco, took place at Granite Ridge Golf Club on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. Chamber and community members played 18 holes of golf in gorgeous June weather.
