The dinner was a great evening of dinner and dance with friends while supporting a local charitable organization, the Townsend Smith Foundation. Music and live entertainment was provided by Charlie Graci and the Groovy Brothers.Thanks to the Milton Knights of Columbus for running this annual event. Townsend Smith’s foundation’s mission is to establish and maintain a residential hospice in Milton to serve the needs of the terminally ill and their families. The Milton Knights of Columbus are actively involved in the Milton Parish community providing financial aid and volunteer services to local charities. Milton District Hospital Foundation (MDHF) invites you to join us in ‘Winning for Health’ at our upcoming Gift of Health Gala. Taking place on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Burlington Convention Centre, we look forward to welcoming local community members, donors, and business owners. Te Gift of Health Gala is the Foundation’s signature black-tie fundraising event, made possible by the significant generosity and support of many committed individuals whose goal is to support quality healthcare in Milton. Te evening begins with an impressive antipasto bar and cocktail reception, silent auction, 4-course gourmet dinner, exciting live auction, live entertainment, games, and more.

On Sunday, January 27th Hum-We held a thank you luncheon for volunteers and contributors to their cause.

Hum-WE is a non-for-profit organization dedicated to providing resources and support for women in the community. They are committed to raising awareness within the South Asian community about the incidence rate and severity of domestic abuse, mental illnesses, and the associated health-risk factors. They strive to spread awareness as there is strength in both knowledge and numbers and they work to bring hope and bring positive change for women around the world.

Milton Transitional Housing kicked off their 2019 fundraising campaign on Jan 26th with their Coldest Night of the Year Launch Party to help spread the word of their upcoming CNOY Milton walk on Feb 23rd at the Milton Sports Centre. MTH has set an ambitious goal this year of $50,000 to help continue their work to end homelessness in our community and were happy to announce that they had reached 25% of their goal by the launch event – with 25 teams, 78 walkers, and 38 volunteers (so far).
