The 100 Women Who Care Milton had their first meeting for 2025 in late January. They are a fundraising group that
was established in 2016 by a group of women who come together 4 times a year, each donating $100 per meeting, $400 annually to support local charities.
Each meeting they listen to presentations from 3 local charities and then vote and awards one with a group financial donation. This meeting they heard from …. JA Central Ontario’s programs that empowers local youth with skills, connections and confidence to help
build a community and create their own companies The Ironwood Project which is dedicated to improving the lives of adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
Voting took place online and the awarded charity for this month’s meeting is MCRC and their She Can! programs The group also heard from the Optimist Club Of Milton which was the recipient of last years meeting for their Dream Kitchen project. Lynn Bousfield was present to speak about how this program helped uplift young Miltonians and teach them lifelong skills in cooking that well both help them find future jobs as well as give them confidence and a sense of community.
