Sacred Summer Sound Healing and Joy Activations in the Park

A magical evening was had at Laidlaw Park on Friday, July 31st. Milton residents united for a stress reduction experience featuring meditation and sound healing by raising awareness for the YogiMoksha initiative.

YogiMoksha was founded by Milton local, Jyoti Mehta, to provide assistance for underprivileged women in India.

The idea sparked during a conversation with a social worker in India. She conveyed that the pandemic has left many families, who relied on the selling of their handmade goods at the market place, in a financial crisis. Jyoti felt a pull in her heart to be of service and began to arrange fundraising efforts to purchase sewing machines for the women, in hopes of helping them earn a livelihood for their families.

The idea spread rapidly and in less than two weeks, Radhika, a resident of Dehradun, India, was the first recipient of a new sewing machine. Since then, multiple women have been provided for, with the latest recipient being a woman with special needs who required a sewing machine to accommodate her disabilities.

Jyoti is very excited about the interest generated by the project and says that she’s being divinely guided by helping hands. Life Coach and Energy Therapist, Dimple Arora, and Miracle Mindset Coach and Artistic Healer, Elvira Hopper, were honored to share their talents with the participants in the park, facilitating a unique relaxation opportunity for the group. Jyoti is looking forward to growing the initiative and is joyous to continue her efforts.
