With overwhelming success, Halton Gujarati Seniors Samaj celebrated Multicultural Festival-Canada Day Celebrations at Lions Club Hall in Milton with Milton Mayor Gordon Krantz, MPP Parm Gill, as well as guests from multiple communities.
Canada, A Nation that gives variety, we together are millions upon millions of voices Shouting, exploring and celebrating Diwali, Eid, X-Mas under one Roof. The United Nations Human Development Index cited the country as the most desirable place in the world to live. This year a World Bank study named Canada the Globe’s the second wealthiest society after Australia We, Canadians are proud to celebrate our country’s many achievements, past and present, at home and abroad.
Congratulations to President Mina Bhatt, Vice President Piyush Patel Divya Kap, Ranju Khanderia, Kirti Shah, Hassu Bihari, Bhupendra Modi, Kalpana Shah, Mahesh Shah and Bharat Patel, for organizing another successful event of Halton Gujarati Seniors Samaj. Th e MCs for the evening – Kunj Patel and Diya Shah introduced the kid’s cultural program which consisted of excellent performances under the choreography of Shruti Shah Desai as well as Hetal Shah and Alpa Panchal, Bollywood Dance Studio. The Milton Chinese Arts School gave an excellent dance performance that made everyone proud. Vibrant Singer Jenny Zarate from Argentina, rocked the crowd with her moves and Spanish songs. Only a few seconds after her singing, everyone was on the fl oor including, Milton Mayor Gordon Krantz, Milton councillors and many HGSS members.
Secretary Hassu Bihari appreciated and Th ank Gillian Rowatt as an event coordinator and the Lions Club Hall looked spectacular refl ecting, the proud moments of Canada. Th e kids enjoyed their face painted thanks to Raksha Bhatt. Henna designs and candy canes had the kids lined up and excited. Canada Cake ceremony was a highlight of the event that everyone enjoyed.
Great moments, excellent coverage, performances, for Canada day, So proud to be a Canadian where multicultural is the key, people of all cultural backgrounds and countries live under one umbrella and make Canada a great Country.
