2019 marks the 10th Anniversary of Canada’s Culture Days program – a three-day nation-wide event which invites community members to participate in free, interactive arts and culture activities. For the past seven years, local non-profit arts group Arts Milton has hosted Milton Culture Days at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton.

The Arts Centre acts as a hub – a one stop location which features a seemingly endless variety of events! From September 27-29, 2019 you’ll find immersive activities in music, dance, theatre, art, craft, technology, literature, culinary and more. Milton Culture Days welcomes all ages and abilities in this accessible space.

The 2019 festivities will kick off with another amazing Launch Event on the Friday, September 27th at 7 pm. Aligned with this year’s Culture Days theme of “Creativity, The Arts, and Well-being,” Arts Milton will feature a curated selection of thoughtful activities that feed both the body and the mind. Visual artist Omar “Oms” Hopkinson will work with Isabelle Labbé of Gesso Lifestyle to facilitate a large scale, collaborative vision board – a piece that will be on display for the entirety of the weekend. Yoga instructor Ioulia McKee will lead all willing event attendees in a short, upbeat yoga session to music. Perimeter activities will include a philosophy booth with Red T Media, and a stuffed dates station with local food blogger Kashmiri Foodie. Youth band Sarabellum will offer a live music performance throughout the second half of the evening.

The remainder of the 70+ free activities that make up Milton Culture Days will take place on Saturday, Sept 28th and Sunday, September 29th from 10 am to 4 pm at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton. Enjoy an activity preview below, and visit artsmilton.com or culturedays.ca for the full listing.
