On November 3rd the students at Bishop Reding Catholic Secondary School in Milton held their third annual STEM Conference. Te program concentrating on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) is organized by the students in grades 6 to 8 and gives an exploration and interactive learning experience to participants.
Organizers Jessie Brown and Aastha Relan along with the 2018-2019 STEM Team did an admirable job in the highly attended conference. Along with exhibits the program included guest speakers and representatives from the Professional Engineers of Ontario who addressed students and local participants.
Te Directors of the conference noted in their open letter to participants that students who gravitate towards science, technology, engineering and math are aligned to become researchers, developers and innovators of the future. Te Bishop Reding STEM Program seeks to cultivate this passion within children and guide them to success.
